Have a Clear Out for Friends of Bwindi

Many of us have far more stuff than we need or use. Friends of Bwindi can help you to clear some space and put those unused items to good use!

Items to send to Uganda - computer equipment, digital cameras and similar items are expensive in Uganda; a second-hand laptop may cost more than a brand new one in the UK, and income is much lower, so many potentially useful items are prohibitively expensive for community organisations.

The following are always useful to us:

  • laptop/netbook computers
  • digital cameras and camcorders
  • USB memory sticks, memory cards (eg from an old camera), external hard drives
  • Card readers and other IT bits and pieces.
  • Mobile phones
  • For fund raising - jewellery, stamp collections and other collectables, unwanted gifts.

We would particularly welcome donations of laptop or netbook computers, which could transform the operations of Stay Safe Children Foundation, benefit students or be used by whole communities on a public network.

Items that cannot be sent to Uganda could be used for our fund raising (eg our ebay auctions) or you could sell them yourself on eBay for Charity - or have a garage sale or coffee morning and sell you unwanted things for our funds!
