Donate to Friends of Bwindi

Friends of Bwindi is run entirely by volunteers working from home. We have no paid staff and no office costs, and we do not send out mass mailings or use other costly fund raising methods. We have charitable tax status, enabling us to claim Gift Aid on eligible donations. Bank transfer costs are more than covered by Gift Aid, eBay auctions and other fund raising enabling us to send 100% of your donation to our beneficiaries in Uganda.

Donations in £

We have partnered with an online donation service operated by a charitable non-profit organisation. Charitygiving is run by the Dove Trust. Their administration fees are the lowest we have found; we receive at least 100% of your donation, usually more! Charitygiving administer Gift Aid for us on eligible donations and cover their costs by keeping a small percentage of the Gift Aid.

Please make a Gift Aid declaration if you are eligible - you may even be able to reclaim some tax in your self-assessment.

Are you a UK taxpayer?

Help us to claim a payment from the Inland Revenue!

We can now claim gift aid payments from the Inland Revenue on eligible donations made since June 2007. Using Gift Aid we could receive an extra 28p for every £1 of eligible donations - that's £2.80 for every £10 and £28 for every £100!

If you are a higher rate taxpayer you can also reclaim some tax in your Self Assessment form - currently 25p for every £1 donated. If you are unsure whether you have already sent a declaration already please complete the form just in case!
