Donate to Friends of Bwindi

Friends of Bwindi is run entirely by volunteers working from home. We have no paid staff and no office costs, and we do not send out mass mailings or use other costly fund raising methods. We have charitable tax status, enabling us to claim Gift Aid on eligible donations. Bank transfer costs are more than covered by Gift Aid, eBay auctions and other fund raising enabling us to send 100% of your donation to our beneficiaries in Uganda.

Donate online using a credit or debit card or your Paypal account

Your donation will be processed by Paypal's secure online service. We can accept online donations in any currency. You do not need a Paypal account to use this service.

By cheque or postal order

To make a donation by cheque or postal order please print out our postal donation form (.doc word format).

Regular donations by Standing Order

You can make regular donations by standing order from your bank account. Please complete a form (one should be available from your bank) including details of amounts and dates and send to Jo Simpson, Chair, Friends of Bwindi Orphanage, A House Called Dave, 5 Vale View, Radstock, Somerset BA3 3QD. You can cancel your standing order at any time (please let us know if you do this so that we will be aware that no further payments will come into the account).

If your donation is for a particular project please enclose details.

Gift Aid It

Have you already supported our fund raising?

Are you a UK taxpayer?

Help us to claim a payment from the Inland Revenue!

We can now claim gift aid payments from the Inland Revenue on eligible donations made since June 2007. Using Gift Aid we could receive an extra 28p for every £1 of eligible donations - that's £2.80 for every £10 and £28 for every £100!

Make an online Gift Aid Declaration

If you are a higher rate taxpayer you can also reclaim some tax in your Self Assessment form - currently 25p for every £1 donated. If you are unsure whether you have already sent a declaration already please complete the form just in case!
